What the State of the Union should be about!

What the state of the Union should be about.

President Barrack Obama is up to the plate again with another speech that is deemed the most important of his career.  I heard his speech in my hometown of Lorain Ohio and usually the speeches up to the State of the Union reflect the policy shift that will be made after the speech and that is sad for this country. It appears he will focus on:

1- Trying to win a populous opinion for democrats for 2010 elections instead of running our country.  Did we hire a campaigner for the democrats or a leader?

2 – He will not allow a defeat in health care and now it seems they will trim it into a reconciliation bill and ram it through.  This is a bill that controls 16% of our economy and will affect the level of coverage we all receive, please read Brock Lesner’s story of how Canadian health care almost killed him.

3 – He will say that the mood of the country is reflective of his enemies instead of his agendas.  He thinks people in this country want a socialistic system and that republicans and fox are stopping him from reflecting his views with the American people.

4- Obama is also going to play the victim card and pretend to be very angry at the “status quo” and how he inherited the worst economy of all time, and how Bush is the problem with the entire world and how the stimulus bill has worked even though unemployment is above 10% still.  The President will also will say that the economy is recovering and how his first year was largely a success and how Americans are all in agreement that the things he has promised to do are coming true.

5- He will do the ultimate JEDI mind trick. Tell us we have hard work ahead and he never said it was going to be easy and that if he hadnt done what he has so far we would be in a Depression BLAH BLAH BLAH

SAME SPEECH, SAME AGENDA-

What should it be about:

1. American’s want the government to stop borrowing money and spending it on things we dont need.  So lets stop printing and borrowing money and audit our tax revenue vs. our spending.  And when I mean audit, ever dollar that comes in, and every single dollar where it goes.  Need to freeze budget increases, pay increases for government employees, and reduce all budgets by 20% to match the 20% decrease in tax revenues do to job losses.

2. Americans want health care insurance reform, but not a gigantic expansion of government.  How about you fix the Medicaire system and Social Security first, prove to us that you can fix the existing government ran system and then we can trust them to add responsiblity.  Lets fix those systems and see improvement before we trust any further responsibility.  Lets look at the cost of insurance plans and find out what can be done to make private plans more affordable for people who are presently uninsured.  Lets find out if uninsured people want to pay for health insurance or just a catastrophic plan.  If you dont try to change everything you can analyze what works and what doesnt and improve the system.

3 -We need an immediate fix to stopping unemployment and job creation.  First and foremost we need to stop creating government jobs and create private sector jobs through an immediate tax credit for businesses that create full time permanent positions.  Also small business owner’s need competitive help from foreign imports, we need to give incentives to American produced products in the economy and introduce legislation that makes corporations more likely to stop moving manufacturing jobs out of the US.  We need to incentivize companies to remain where they are through utility credits and tax credits so they can improve hiring and profitability.  Any company getting these tax credits or utility credits can have a profit sharing agreement to pay back some of the credits when profitability exceeds a certain bench mark to satisfy the anti business loons.

4. The United States must limit it’s expenditures in foregin markets, we need to look at all tax payer money that is given to Africa, Haiti, Afghanistan, Iraq and of course Isreal and Palestine.  Tax Payers money is not at the becking call of Congress and the President to give freely to help non-tax payers from other countries on projects that would be better spent in our own country.  Why spend 900 million to rebuild Palestine when we could spend 900 million to rebuild detroit?  Why spend over 1 billion in Haiti when we could spend that money on infrastucture projects that would help revitalize our construction industries that have been killed because of the housing collapse?  How much money do we spend helping other nations who still hate our guts?

5- Last but certainly not least, ALL LOBBYIST immediately out of Washington.  Any senator or congressman receiving lobbyist money will be sent to prison.  The president will not be able to have a secret meeting with Union leaders and promise them a tax shelter against health care taxes for 8 years.  These bribes and kickbacks must stop immediately.  If you kill the lobbying industry we can have a transparent discussion on truly representing the views of the american tax payer instead of the idealouge view of a small group of radicals or people so beholden to businesses that they cannot vote for bills that would help because it infringes upon the goal of a business that supports them.  Term limits are needed and so our campaign spending limits, we need to have public servants instead of career politicians.

When can we head in this direction?
